About Us
Turnbull Grain and Seed was formed in August 2015. It was formerly known as D C Turnbull & Co Ltd. In 2015 following the unforeseen death of Andrew Turnbull who was the current operator and part shareholder, the decision was made to split off the Grain and Seed division and to let the grain and seed staff buy-in to the business. D C Turnbull remains the majority shareholder, with both Murray Duff and Hamish Holland taking up a shareholding. While Turnbull Grain and Seed is a relatively new company, D C Turnbull & Co Ltd has a long history in the grain and seed industry in South Canterbury, with its first cereal trading happening 120 years ago.
